A missing 17-year-old Uniontown girl was found with a 24-year-old Connellsville man in Maryland, according to police.

Paige Smonsy was transported back to Pennsylvania.

Cumberland Police said the girl was found in a residence with Sean Michael Ruby, 24. Police found that the two allegedly broke into the residence.

Police were called to a disturbance Tuesday night and found the girl in a garage, yelling in her sleep. She allegedly told them she had permission to be in the garage.

Police said their investigation revealed she was not permitted to be in the garage, and she was told to leave.

Ruby was arrested, and charged with fourth-degree burglary, contributing to the condition of a child and malicious destruction of property, according to court documents.

He is being held in the Allegany County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

Police said the girl was also arrested.

Smonsy was reported missing last week, when the search began. Both were said to have been diagnosed with mental health issues.

State police in Uniontown said they believed Ruby may have been selling drugs as a source of income. Witnesses said Ruby cut a birth control device out of her arm.
