Velma ‘Grams’ (Seese) Severini, age 85 years, of Rices Landing, Pa., died on Monday, November 23 2015 in her home.

Velma was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1930 in Ohiopyle, Pa., daughter of Walter Seese and Nancy (King) Seese.

On Friday, February 4, 1949, Velma married Chester ‘Biff’ Severini, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters: Cheryl Voytek and her husband Donald of Carmichaels, Pa., and Brenda Andrascik and her husband Ronald of Overland Park, Kansas; two granddaughters: Dawn Marie Tamborino of Pittsburgh, Pa., Nicole Colarusso and husband Vince of Carmichaels, Pa four great grandchildren: Victoria Tamborino, Ty Tamborino, Dominic Colarusso, and Giana Colarusso; a sister, Loretta Koratich of Rices Landing, Pa.; a brother, Thomas Seese of Ravenna, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her parents; two sisters, Helen Severini and Fay Guesman; and a brother, Walter Dale Seese. A daughter, Mary Jean Severini, died in infancy.

Velma was called ‘Grams’ by many who knew her. Her acts of selfless kindness to all her many friends reminded them of a beloved Grandmother. Kevin and Susan Martin and sons Adam and P.J. and family were special to her.

Mrs. Severini was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Rices Landing, the Altar Rosary Society and The Christian Mothers of the Church.

Family and friends will be received at LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320 (724.966.5100), Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director and Supervisor, today, November 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held in Funeral Home Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint Hugh Roman Catholic Church, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels, with Rev. Father John M. Bauer as the Celebrant.

Interment follows in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
