Betty Kathleen (Bowman) Hicks
Betty Kathleen (Bowman) Hicks, age 74, of Brownfield, Pa., passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015.
She was born on Sunday, December 22, 1940 in Uniontown , Pa., a daughter of Harry Bowman and Viola (Hellen) Bowman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas Hicks Jr.; and 10 siblings
Betty is survived by her sons: Terry Hicks of Point Marion, Pa., Joseph Hicks of Brownfield, Pa., Michael Hicks and his wife Elaine of Scott Township, Pa., Jeffrey Hicks and his wife Kim of Low Hill, Pa.; six grandchildren; two great grand daughters; two brothers Donald Bowman and his wife Diane of Smithfield, Pa., and Sanford Bowman and his wife Martha of Romney, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty worked for the Laurel Highlands School District for many years.
She enjoyed bingo, dancing and bowling.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Betty’s family will receive friends today, Tuesday, October 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m in GOLDSBORO-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 21 East Church Street, Fair- chance, Pa., with additional visitation taking place on Wednesday, October 14, until 11:00 a.m., the hour of her funeral service with Reverend Charles O’Brien officiating.
Interment to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
Visitation was also held on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m.
