Lockdown lifted at Uniontown Area High School

1 min read

The Uniontown Area High School was on lockdown this morning, though it was not from an internal incident, according to principal Robert Manges.

Manges said they were informed that there was an incident outside at close proximity to the high school, causing them to go into lockdown for about a half hour this morning. The lockdown has since been lifted.

There was a heavy police presence at a home on South Grant Street, about one block from the school. Police did not said what they were doing in the area.

Officials at Fayette County 911 also said they were unaware of anything in that area.
