Police: 104 bags of heroin, stolen firearms found in raid
A raid of a Uniontown house allegedly revealed two stolen firearms and 104 bags of heroin that appeared to be packaged for trafficking, police said.
Uniontown police arrested Dillard Whitney Robinson Jr., 64, Adrian De’Andre Ross, 24, and Dashalon Marlek Jones, 22, all of Uniontown, after executing a search warrant at 21 S. Grant Street.
Members of the state attorney general’s office drug task force and Uniontown police officer Michael Bittner conducted the search at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
According to an affidavit for probable cause, Ross and Robinson Jr. were seen throwing things out the window when police announced their presence.
Police said the package Ross threw out his window contained 22 bags of heroin and Robinson Jr. threw a crack pipe out the window. In Robinson Jr.’s room, police also found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun under the bed. The serial numbers indicated it was stolen, according to the affidavit.
They also allegedly found a digital scale, silver crack pipe, pill bottle with Robinson’s name on it, baggies and a bag with a white substance inside.
Police said Robinson Jr. was not permitted to possess a firearm because he was convicted of a felony burglary in 1980.
Jones allegedly told police he was in the basement taking care of the dog. There, police said they found 84 bags of heroin, $1,558 in cash and a .38-caliber Taurus revolver.
Both the revolver and the shotgun were reported stolen, according to the affidavit.
Jones told police he bought the firearms on a Uniontown buy, sell and trade website and did not know they were stolen, they said.
Police charged Jones with two counts of receiving stolen property, drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.
Ross was charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
Robinson Jr. was charged with prohibited possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The three are in Fayette County Prison in lieu of bonds. Ross and Robinson Jr. are held on $25,000 bonds and Jones is held on a $35,000 bond.
They were arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. Monday night.
Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Nov. 17.
