Carbon monoxide poisoning caused deaths in Georges Twp. fire

Two people who were killed in a Georges Township fire Thursday morning died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the Fayette County coroner’s office has confirmed.

Patty Hardin, 53, and Charles Dillow, 45, were found dead in a back bedroom at 46 Rose Circle in the Strickland Estates mobile home park. The mobile home was destroyed.

The manner of death for both victims is accidental according to the coroner’s office, which also confirmed that both victims were simultaneously pronounced dead at 8:17 a.m. Thursday.

Final toxicology results are pending, the coroner’s office said.
