Dean D. Marunyak
Dean D. Marunyak, 60 of Smithfield, Pa. passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
He was born December 25, 1954 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late John and Mary Dunay Marunyak.
In addition to his loving parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Lyne Marunyak and brothers, Dennis and Damon Marunyak.
Dean was an accomplished wood worker, and enjoyed working side by side with his Father. Dean later became the owner of Superior Cabinets in Smithfield.
Dean also was the co-owner of Amy Lyne Plaza and Sunoco Convenience Store in Smithfield, where he enjoyed spending time talking and laughing with many friends.
Dean had a love for the water and enjoyed boating and traveling to his sanctuary by the lake.
He also had a strong passion to live and to conquer all that life had to throw at him. He was a strong, proud and generous man who enjoyed family, friends, fun and laughter.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Brenda A. Barnes Marunyak, stepdaughter Alison Price and her husband Jeffrey Price and two granddaughters, Lauryn and Madison Price, all of Smithfield, Pa.; as well as many loving family and friends.
Dean had a deep faith in his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 12 to 1 p.m. The funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Alvie Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
