Belva Leola (Conner) Umble
Belva Leola (Conner) Umble, age 92, of Woodbridge, Fayette County, Pa., passed away on Saturday, April 09, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Thursday, July 5, 1923 in Dunbar, Pennsylvania.
Belva attended the Woodbridge Union Church.
She was a member of the Smithfield-Fairchance American Legion Auxiliary and a very active member of both the Haydentown and the Smithfield Senior Citizens.
Belva was predeceased by her parents, Grant A. Conner and Viola Blanche (Alderton) Conner Smith; step-father, Simon Smith; son, James DeLancey; two grandsons, Tommy Umble and Allen Pretzel; brother, James Smith; and sister, Mary Greno.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Orville Franklin Umble; children: William and Patty Umble, Smithfield, Pa., Kenneth and Susan Umble of Morgantown, West Virginia, Charlene Pretzel of Bruceton Mills West Virginia, Sharon “Sweet Pea” and Bob Lawson of Morgantown, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Smith of Cumberland, Maryland; nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and Wednesday, April 13 2016 from 10 until 11 a.m Funeral Service begins at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Lyons officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa
