Donald Richard Nicholson Sr., age 75, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Excela Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, Pa
He was born on Sunday, April 6, 1941 in Connellsville, Pa., the son of Edward Nicholson and Ida Mae (Johnson) Nicholson.
He was a member of the Church of God, Mount Pleasant, Pa.
He worked as a Roofer for his own company for many years.
He belonged to several clubs for many years in Connellsville including the American Legion, Eagles, Moose, Polish Club and Slovak Club.
Donald came from a family of 22.
He is survived by his girlfriend of 16 years, Kamakaokalani ‘Kam’ Prinkey; five children: Donald Nicholson Jr. (Kris), Mike Nicholson (Rose), Diane Nicholson, Marge, and MaryAnn; sisters Freeda Nicholson, Betty Heisterman, Bonnie Hixon, Beatrice Roadman; and brothers: Bob Nicholson, Tom Nicholson, and Charles Nicholson (Hazel).
Family and Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., Dennis N. Heath Jr., Supervisor, 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., Friday April 29, 2016 from 9 a.m until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Paul Prinkey officiating.
Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, Route 982, Connellsville.
