Christina ‘Tina’ Marie (DeShantz) Zack, age 91, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Thursday May 1, 1924 daughter of the now late Louis DeShantz and Rose (Scrima) DeShantz.

Christina graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh.

She honorably served her country with the United States Navy during World War II.

While raising her family she was employed as an Optician for 20 years with Dr. Robert A. Rupp in Uniontown.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary DiVincenzo; two sisters-in-law, Toni DeShantz and Marilyn DeShantz; and her brother-in-law, Carmen DiVincenzo.

She is survived by her loving children, Christina M. Zack, Bill Zack Jr. and wife Ginger, and Russell Zack and wife Tammy, and her cherished grandchildren, Michael Zack and Jessica Zack, all of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; sisters: Mildred Linnelli and husband George of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Rose Marie Naylor and husband Jerry of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; brothers: Domenick DeShantz of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Savero DonGiovanni and wife Lois of Palm Harbor Florida, Louis DeShantz of St. Joseph, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special feline friends, ‘Buffy’ and ‘Spike’.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family gathering was held on Sunday, April 24, 2016 followed by a Blessing Service at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pennsylvania.

Military Rites and Honors were accorded by the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pennsylvania.

Interment was held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pennsylvania
