Felecia (Thompson) Kinney
Felecia (Thompson) Kinney, age 96, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in the Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela.
Felecia was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on Wednesday, July 23, 1919 to Olin Thompson and Nattie Thompson.
Mrs. Kinney was a lifelong member of the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Brownsville, Pa., and the Missionary Society, Chrysanthemum Club, Usher Board, and the Pastor’s Anniversary Committee. She could always be seen working in the kitchen!
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Kinney; her parents; and siblings, Carlee Thompson and Rosebud Mahone.
She is survived by her son, Norman E. Thompson (Denise) of Brownsville, Pa.; a sister, Alice Gregory of Cardale, Pa.; grandchildren: Norman E. Thompson Jr. (Patty), McClellandtown, Pa., Tracey Thompson of Allison, Pa., Carmen Thompson and Gloria Catlin (John) both of Washington, Pa.; seven great grandchildren; a special nephew, James Kemp; a host of great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday at the MOUNT LEBANON BAPTIST CHURCH, 401 Baltimore Street, Brownsville, PA 15417 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
