Uniontown police issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for a woman accused in a stabbing during an argument over a man.

Police allege that Bobbi Jo Cumberland, 31, of Uniontown stabbed Teah-Arra Yancey twice near the intersection of Lincoln and Prospect streets on Monday.

Yancey was stabbed in the right arm and buttocks, according to police. She was treated for her injuries at the Uniontown Hospital emergency room, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

She told police she was talking to Christopher Lewis about him being with another woman when Cumberland appeared, saying “she the female that her man is sleeping with,” the affidavit said.

Yancey told police she turned to walk away when Cumberland stabbed her.

Police interviewed Yancey’s sister, Cairae Fitzgerald, who said Cumberland went directly for Yancey with the knife. Fitzgerald said she yelled for her sister to watch out, but it was too late. She said Cumberland ran away after the stabbing, according to the affidavit.

Cumberland is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault and one count each of disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
