One of the 50 people federally indicted on drug trafficking charges has been sentenced while two others pleaded guilty to trafficking charges.

Kenneth White, 38, of Uniontown was sentenced to serve a prison term of 10 years on the charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute less than 100 grams of heroin.

U.S. Magistrate Judge David S. Cercone sentenced White in federal court.

Once released from prison, White will be on supervised release for three years.

Federal prosecutors dismissed the charge of possession with intent to distribute less than 100 grams of cocaine.

Dexter Allen, 27, of Uniontown, who was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, changed his plea from not guilty to guilty this week.

Herbert Ballard, 50, of Pittsburgh also changed his plea from not guilty to guilty this week on the charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Both men will be sentenced at a later date before U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy Bissoon.

The indictments were part of the dismantling what officials called the “largest interconnected drug organization” in the region, which involved federal, state and local authorities in multiple counties.
