Jeanette B. (Blaney) Ganoe, age 93, of Point Marion, Pennsylvania died Saturday, August 13 2016 in Hillside Manor Personal Care Home in Uniontown, Pennsylvania
Born February 8, 1923 in Whitehouse, Fayette County, Pa., she was a daughter of George W. Blaney and Perie Mae (Darby) Blaney.
A 1941 graduate of Georges Township High School, she was a faithful member for many years of the First Baptist Church, Point Marion, and was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and also the Missionary Society.
She had formerly worked at Houze Glass in Point Marion, and retired from the Albert Gallatin School District where she worked for 16 years in the Point Marion School Cafeteria.
Jeanette was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband, William D. Ganoe, passed away on March 10, 2003. Also deceased are a daughter, Patricia Malone; and two grandchildren, Shanna and Brian. Jeanette was the last of her immediate family having been predeceased by brothers Leland Blaney, Lloyd Blaney, Kenneth Blaney, Quentin Blaney; and sisters, Pearl Phillips, Evelyn Conn, Jean Crow, Mildred Miller Myers, Willis Conn, Dorothy Guseman, and Marie Blaney in infancy.
Surviving are children: Donna Miscovich of Uniontown, Pa., and William David Ganoe of Denver, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; and special nephew, Warren Miller, Point Marion, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kathy Griffith will officiate.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pa.
