Robert M. ‘Bob’ Anderson, age 84, of Grindstone Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Uniontown, Pa.

He was born Monday, November 9, 1931 son of Margaret Scott Anderson and Clyde Anderson.

He was the last living member of his family.

‘Bob’ enlisted in the United States Air Force on Monday, November 10, 1952 as an Airman Third Class during the Korean War. He received an Honorable Discharge in December of 1953. He also received the National Defense Service Medal.

As a young man, Bob loved to hunt, trap and sell furs, and fish. He was a man who loved the outdoors.

Bob was an avid pool player.

He loved attending senior centers in the area

He received an award for his many years of dedicated volunteer services from Crosskeys Human Services, Inc.

Bob was a loving man with a heart of gold. His smile would brighten anyone’s day.

He is survived by his adoptive family: Kim and John Burrell, Logan Burrell, Jade Shriver and Hunter Shriver. He resided with Danny and Karen Strauch for the last 14 years where he made friends with Alexia Horwath, Fred Hone and Ava Johnson.

Private Graveside Services with Military Rites and Honors accorded by the Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705, Centerville, were held Friday, August 12, 2016 in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, Pa.

Arrangements by the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, Pa.
