Charles C. Castor, age 85, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Sunday morning, August 14, 2016 in Uniontown Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born on May 30, 1931 in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Anthony Castor and Ann (Vojacek) Castor.

Charles was a member of the Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

He was also a member of the Uniontown Area School Board for many years where he was always dedicated to the students — especially showing his love for the Red Raider athletes. He was the founder of “Raider Pride” and was always seen in the stands supporting his beloved Red Raiders.

He worked for many years as a Foreman at Steel Scaffolding.

Charles was a United States Veteran, serving in the Army.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joann (Moser) Castor; loving children: Charlanne C. Makarun and husband Ron of Uniontown, Christopher C. Castor and wife Terri of Uniontown, Carolyn C. Garver and husband Paul of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Craig C. Castor and wife Amy of Venetia, Pa.; grandchildren: Cody C. Castor, Benjamin C. Castor, and Megan Lynn Castor; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and John Koziel; other relatives; and many friends.

Friends will be received in KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, August 17 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday morning until 9:30 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
