Margaret Hazy
Margaret Elizabeth (Vargo) Szabo Hazy, age 96, of Perryopolis, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Whitsitt, Pa. on September 29, 1920, a daughter of Steve Vargo and Rosella Ceto Vargo.
Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband, Steve Szabo, second husband, James Hazy; brothers: Zolten Vargo, Alfred Vargo; sisters; Ruth Grimplin, Irene Vargo and Nancy Police.
She was a wonderful mother who loved life.
Her passions were cooking, gardening and helping others.
She was owner of Hazy’s Diner.
During W.W. II she worked in the mill making artillery for the war effort.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Barbara Bilohlavek, son, Stephen (Bernadette) Szabo; grandchildren: Colette (Mike) Sandzimier, Felicia (Greg) Powell, Neil Bilohlavek, Suzanne Szabo, S.J. (Brenda) Szabo, Joshua (Katherine) Szabo; great-grandchildren: Eli Szabo, Blake Powell, Clayton Powell, Linsey Szabo and Emily Szabo, sisters: Grace Estok, Lydia Oberlietner, Charlotte (Paul) Bilohlavek and brother, Steve (Sandy) Vargo.
Margaret’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa. 15436.
Additional visitation will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 9 to 10 a.m., the hour of her funeral service in the First Christian Church, Perryopolis, Pa. with Pastor Melissa Snyder, officiating.
Interment will follow in Olive Branch Ceme-tery, Belle Vernon, Pa.
