Lucy Pearl (Roderick) Dennis
Lucy Pearl (Roderick) Dennis, age 101, of Oliphant Furnace, Pa. passed away at King’s Personal Care Home, Fairchance, Pa., Friday, December 2, 2016.
She was born in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pa., on June 28, 1915 a daughter of William E. Walter and Hattie Roderick Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Harry Dennis; one son, James Dennis; two daughters, Elizabeth Dennis and Rosaline Smith; and her parents.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by the following children: Virginia Shultz of LeMont Furnace, Pa., Alice Dunston and husband Robert of Connellsville, Pa., Joan Vall and husband Emory of LeMont Furnace, Pa., Sylvia Dennis of Whitehouse, Pa., Frances McCormick and husband Lantz of Uniontown, Pa., Harry Dennis and wife Kitty of LeMont Furnace, Pa., and Linda Bittinger of LeMont Furnace, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME of Smithfield, Pa., Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 6, until 11:00 a.m., the hour of the Service.
Interment will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
