Police: Woman made false claim that ex shot her

Monessen police arrested a woman who allegedly made a false 911 call claiming that her ex-boyfriend shot her.

Taylor Rajeen Harrison, 25, who is listed as homeless, allegedly called 911 under a false name and number saying a woman had possibly been shot on Knox Avenue in Monessen Nov. 30, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in her case.

The woman allegedly identified herself as Lisa Shrader, telling police Harrison was bleeding and no longer moving after seeing a man she named to dispatchers fire a handgun.

Responding officers found Harrison looking disheveled and upset, but had only minor injuries. Investigations into the 911 call and her claims revealed an inconsistent story, police said. She later admitted she exaggerated the story about an altercation with her ex-boyfriend so police would respond more quickly and give her ex more serious charges, according to the affidavit.

Harrison is charged with false alarm to agency of public safety, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of false reports.

Police are continuing their investigation.
