Charmaine Louise Sampson
Charmaine Louise Sampson, age 66, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly Saturday evening, December 3, 2016 in the Mount Macrina Manor.
She was born August 9, 1950 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Charles W. Sampson and Lorraine Rose Sampson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Darwin, Donald and Charles.
Charmaine was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church
She was a 1968 graduate of Uniontown Area High School. She was involved for many years on her graduating class reunion committee.
She worked as a personal secretary to Robert E. Eberly and was also a secretary to commissioner Joe Hardy and for the planning commission of Fay Penn.
She was on the board of the Heart Association and was active at the State Theatre and was a member of the Gallatin Bank past employee’s association.
She worked through Mr. Eberly on the Desk and Derrick conferences held all around the world.
She was instrumental in the George C. Marshall Plan.
She collected elephants and loved to travel in her younger years. She loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and had season tickets for many years.
She was involved in the Boy Scouts of America.
She was also the caretaker for Mrs. Eberly for many years.
She is survived by her loving brother, James Sampson and wife Francine of Uniontown; loving nephews: Jeremy Sampson and wife Jenna of Pittsburgh, Pa., Leonard Sampson of Uniontown, Eric Sampson and fianceé Noelle of Uniontown, Christopher Sampson and wife Kelli of Uniontown, Benjamin Sampson of Uniontown; niece, Alyson Fisher and husband Robert and their son Jordan of Pittsburgh, Pa.; great nephew, Dylan Sampson; sisters-in-law: Cheryl Bartock and Gina Restina; other relatives; and many friends.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, December 6, 2016 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning friends and family will gather in the Calvary United Methodist Church for funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Andy Spore officiating.
Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown.
