Donald R. David, United States Army Veteran – Vietnam War
Donald R. David, age 74, Fairchance, Pa. died Sunday, December 4, 2016 as a result of a long illness.
He was born August 24 1942 in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Arthur E. David and Florence (Welch) David.
He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
Donald was retired from United States Steel, Fairless Hills, Pa.
He was predeceased by his parents; loving wife, Margaret ‘Sis’ (Talbert) David; loving daughter, Tammy Marie David.
Surviving are two daughters: Sandra Scofield and husband Dale of Trevose, Pa., and Brenda Byles and husband George of Croydon, Pa., and Robert Talbert and wife Melanie of Morrisville, Pa.; two granddaughters: Debra Wright and Heather Wright; two great grand daughters: Mickayla Husted and Shawnna Husted; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m and on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Perry Billman officiating.
Interment follows in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Chalk Hill, Pa., with Military Rites and Honors accorded.
