Eleanor Sirilla
Eleanor (Scott) Sirilla, 89 of Monongahela, Carroll Twp., Pa. died Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Monongahela-Valley Hospital.
Born February 4, 1927 in West Brownsville, she was the daughter of John and Katherine (Yancek) Scott.
After graduating from Brownsville High School in 1944, she was employed for a brief time as a operator for Bell Telephone Co.
Eleanor was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela.
She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and her church. Anyone who knew Eleanor knew that her favorite hobby was to knit dish rags for her friends and family.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter in law: Bob Sirilla and companion Cindy Paga of Donora, and Dan and Patty Sirilla of Monongahela; a grand dog Zoe; and a sister Irma Lemovitch of New Jersey and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 58 years John R. Sirilla who died March 24, 2005, two sisters, Verona Corfont and Thelma Honeycheck and a brother Steven Scott.
Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess Street, Monon-gahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneral home.com from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, at which time a blessing service will begin with Fr. George Chortos officiating.
At the family’s request interment will be private and held in Lafayette Memorial Park.
