Margaret B. (Zeigler) Hower, well-known for her wedding and birthday cakes
Margaret B. (Zeigler) Hower, age 83, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Mount Macrina Manor in Uniontown, Pa.
Margaret was born on February 19, 1933 in High House, Fayette County, Pa., and was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary (Roman) Zeigler.
Margaret is survived by her husband Raymond C. Hower; and by a number of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.
She was a member of the Smithfield United Methodist Church.
She was well known for her wedding and birthday cakes and many times was a featured wedding cake decorator at the Bon-Ton Department Store in the Uniontown Mall.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME of Smithfield, Pa., on Tuesday, December 13 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service with Reverend Mark Blair officiating.
Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
