Wallace H. ‘Wally’ Mays Jr., 75, of Lake Lynn, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his home.

Born in Point Marion, Pa., on July 12, 1941, he was the son of Wallace H. ‘Jack’ Mays Sr., of Point Marion and the late Charlotte (McGaw) Mays

A graduate of Point Marion High School, he was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving with the United States Army.

Wally, along with his wife, and now his son, was the owner/operator of Wally’s Auto in Point Marion since 1972.

He was raised an Apostolic and was currently attending the HOPE Apostolic Church in Morgantown.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy (Freiburg) Mays; three children and their spouses: Wally Mays III and Lisa and Kim Civit and Craig all of Lake Lynn, Anthony Philip Mays and Karissa of Christianburg, Virginia; three grandchildren: Maria Mays and fiancé Mike Gluvna, Wally Mays IV and Seth Mays; two brothers: Donald Mays of Greensboro, Pa., and Lawrence Mays of Lake Lynn; and two sisters: Shirley Mays and Brenda Sapp both of Point Marion, Pa.

Deceased is one brother, Charles Mays.

Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday from Noon until 1:00 p.m., the hour of Service with his Pastors, Allen and Jody Donham, officiating.

Interment follows in Little Arlington Section of Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, with Full Military Rites and Honors accorded by the Point Marion Veterans posts.
