James Alfred Tony
James A. Tony, age 71, succumbed to pancreatic cancer peacefully after a heroic battle on December 13, 2016.
He was born to the late Namie and Alexandra Tony in Waynesburg, Pa.
Jim graduated from Mapletown High School in 1963 and received a MS in Mathematics from California University of Pa. in 1967.
He married Linda Ward in 1970 and lived in Ellicott City for 40 years before moving to Eldersburg, Maryland.
Jim was survived by his loving wife Linda Lou Tony of 46 years; sons and daughters-in-law Jon and Jenn Tony and Bill and Giovanna Tony; daughter Andrea Tony; precious grandsons, Justin Paolo Tony and Christian James Tony; sister and brother-in-law Betty Jane and Wendell Winkler. He is also survived by 5 nieces, 6 nephews, 11 great nieces and 4 great nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Richard and Edward Tony.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at HAIGHT FUNERAL HOME &Amp; CHAPEL, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Md. 21784.
A funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 105 N. Camp Meade Road, Linthicum Heights, Md. 21090.
