Mather man charged with assaulting and threatening teen
A warrant was issued for a Mather man who allegedly cut and threatened a teen in her Crucible home Tuesday.
Corey Allen McCartney, 20, is facing aggravated assault, burglary and related charges in the case filed before Magisterial District Judge D. Glenn Bates.
The teen told police McCartney came into the house through a closed front door and cut her forearm with a pocket knife, saying, “I’m going to kill you.” She said she told him to leave and he did, after saying, “I’ll be back for you,” Cumberland Township police wrote in the affidavit.
Police interviewed the alleged victim’s father, who told police McCartney lived with them for a short time, “but was told that he was no longer welcome in the home and was not to return,” according to court documents.
McCartney was also charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and defiant trespass.
