A. Chester Forsythe
A. Chester Forsythe, 90, of Connellsville, Pa., formerly of Banning, Pa., died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
He was born on May 1, 1926 in Monessen, Pa., the son of Leora (Hough) and Arthur Forsythe.
Chester was a retired Foreman for the B & O Railroad and Chessie System working out of the West Newton station.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army.
He was a member of the Banning United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Garnet Burnsworth Forsythe; and a son, Gary Forsythe.
He is survived by three sons: Charles Forsythe of Norfolk, Virginia, Richard Forsythe of Acme, Pa., and David Forsythe of Cokeburg, Pa.; daughter, Leigh Ann Deiley of Green Cove Springs, Florida; also seven grandchildren: Brian, Christine, Janie, Aaron, Eric, Andrew, and Jacqueline; and three great grandchildren Miranda, Davis, and Jace
Family and Friends will be received Tuesday from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. the time of Service at the CHAPEL in OLIVE BRANCH CEMETERY with Pastor Ed Sutton officiating.
Burial will follow in the cemetery.
