Rita B. Koncheck
Rita B. Koncheck, 81, of Lorain, Ohio died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria, Ohio.
She was born October 30, 1935 in Youngstown, North Union Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Connellsville, Pennsylvania in 1953.
She relocated to Lorain in 1955.
Rita worked at Kline’s Department Store in Lorain in the Credit Office for 11 years and modeled for the store.
Following that, she worked at Russell, Berkebile & Associates in Lorain as a Billing Clerk from 1975 until her retirement in 1998.
She was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Sheffield Lake, Ohio.
She enjoyed gardening, crafting and painting.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Veronica (nee Tomko) Koncheck; brothers: Carl, Louis, Steve, Rudolph; sisters, Wilma, Irene, Catherine Bodnar, Eleanor Glover.
She is survived by her sisters: Sister Rosemary Concheck, O.P., of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Ruth Geierman of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; brothers: Daniel Concheck (Georgianna) of Lorain and Joseph Concheck of Canal Fulton, Ohio; sister-in-law Margaret Koncheck, Uniontown, Pennsylvania brother-in-law, Gerald Glover of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at GLUVNA-SHIMO-HROMADA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, OH 44055 (440.246.2118).
Visitation will continue Wednesday, December 28th, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 521 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, Ohio with Rev. Stephen Shields, Pastor, as the Celebrant.
Rita will then be taken to the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown Pennsylvania where the family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Saint Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown.
