Lawrence W. “Larry” Daniels Sr., Police Chief for over 20 years in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania
Lawrence W. Daniels Sr., 84, of Maple Summit Pa., went to be with the Lord with his loving family by his side on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the home of his daughter Angelina Seese.
He was born May 18, 1932 in Maple Summit, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Clarence and Ada (Joseph) Daniels.
Larry was a military Veteran serving in the Korean War and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 265, Farmington and Ohiopyle
He served as Police Chief in Ohiopyle for over 20 years.
He was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Melody Dawn Daniels; brothers, James Daniels and Edward Daniels.
Surviving are nine children: Angelina Seese and her husband Jones ‘Buddy’, Thomas Daniels who resided with his father, Lawrence Daniels Jr. and his wife Lindsay of Connellsville, Pa., Jeannie Palmer and her husband Grady of Markleysburg, Pa., Laurie Jones and her husband Mike of York, Pa., Pamela Eckard and her husband Mike of York, Pa., Eldora Eddy and her husband Mike of Waynesburg, Pa., Cathy VanNosdeln and her husband Stuart of Ohiopyle, Pa., and Lisa Goodman and her husband Bob of Elmira, New York; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Wilbur ‘Micky’ Daniels and his wife Janet of Ohiopyle, Pa., and Merle Daniels, New Salem, Pa.
Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, Pa., today 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday December 28, 2016 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. John DeVincent officiating.
Interment will be private for the family in Maple Summit Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Crawford Funeral Home.
