Thomas W. Adams
Thomas W. Adams, 92, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully Monday, December 26, 2016 in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown.
He was born April 18, 1924 in Alverton, Westmoreland County, Pa., son of Clifford D. and Sadie Felgar Adams.
Thomas attended the former East Huntingdon Township High School.
He was a Farmer and raised hogs and Black Angus cattle. He was known for his award winning corn production in both the county and state.
Thomas served on the Fayette County Fair Board for 22 years.
He was a 4-H Leader for Livestock Auctions, served as District Director of the Fayette County Conservation Board, and also served with the Penn State Extension.
He was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Connellsville.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife Thelma (Smith) Adams; and his parents.
Thomas will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving family, children: Lois Jean Minnick and husband Ronald E. of Uniontown and Jo Anne McClain and husband William of Lititz, Pa.; his grandchildren: Adam Minnick and wife Shelley of Connellsville, Pa., and Brad McClain and wife Valerie of Lititz, Pa.; and his great grandchildren: Sadie McClain and Carly McClain.
Family and friends will be received today from 2 to 8 p.m. in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville (724.628.1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 30, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Harry W. Powell and the Reverend Mike Lyons as co-officiants.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
