Howard R. Urbany, 90, of Carmichaels, Pa. and formerly of Euclid, Ohio, died at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016 in Rolling Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, Pa.

He was born November 8, 1925 in Nemacolin, Pa., a son of the late Joseph Francis and Helen Clara (Shivinsky) Urbany.

Mr. Urbany served with the U. S. Navy during World War II and resided in Greene County since 1997 where he was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sisters: Mildred Shumar of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, Bernadine M. Hicks of Brookpark, Ohio and Joan Cihon of Mentor, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Bernard J. Urbany and Edwin J. Urbany and a sister, Mary Jane Celli.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016, followed at 11:00 a.m. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels with the Rev. John M. Bauer as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Carmichaels Honor Guard and the U. S. Navy.
