Ronald Lee Godsey, age 58, of Eighty Four, Pa., died on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, following a long illness, at Select Specialty Care in McKeesport Hospital.

He was born in Harrisburg, Pa., on Sunday, August 4, 1957 and is the son of the now late Harry Godsey and Shirley (Little) Godsey.

He graduated from California University.

He was employed at Western Center in Canonsburg, Pa., and then at Mayview State Hospital as a Vocational Specialist until it closed.

He was a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 377 and Post 940 and also the California Hill Gun Club.

He enjoyed watching all the Pittsburgh sports teams — especially the Pirates, fishing, traveling and loved friends and family gatherings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita F. (Garee) Godsey; sons: Ryan Carlton Godsey of Eighty Four, Pa., and Rhett Tyler Godsey of Hopewell Township, Pa.; granddaughter Annabelle Godsey; brother, Bart (Carolyn) Godsey, and sister, Kim (Tim) Cornman, both of Carlisle, Pa.; nieces: Chasity Forey of Carlisle, Pa., and Richelle Lindula of Alaska; nephews: Taylor Garee and Sean Garee of Beaver Falls, Pa.; brother-in-law, Mark Garee of Beaver Falls, Pa

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
