Democrats Randy J. Barli, Alan Benyak, Mark L. Alterici and Brendan Anthony Garay, all of Washington County, submitted their respective petitions to the state election department along with Republicans Donald “Bud” Cook of Washington County and Melanie Patterson of Fayette County.
The 49th Legislative District includes parts of Fayette and Washington counties.
