Verna Lee “Vernie” “Babe” Davis
Verna Lee Davis ‘Vernie’, ‘Babe’, age 57 of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away at her home on Sunday, February 21, 2016 with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 12, 1958 daughter of Verna Lee (Dunn) Woods of Punta Gorda, Florida and the now late James Chester Davis.
Vernie retired from the former Edenfield Stages Bus Company where she was employed for over 24 years.
Vernie is survived by her husband, Paul M. Huntoon; three children: Wayne Nicklow and girl friend Stephanie Sharp, Tracie Nichols and boy friend Mike Medvec, Christiana Vail-Scandrol and her husband William Scandrol; grandchildren: Trenton and Caileigh; her mother, Verna Lee Woods and husband Earl; sisters: Debbie Freiberg and her husband Bob and Julie (Franks) Metz and her husband Lee.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, February 26, 2016 until 11:00 a.m. when Funeral Service will be held. Mr. Keith Vail will officiate
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
