Joseph S. Hawkins
Joseph S. Hawkins, age 82, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Monday morning, January 4, 2016 in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.
He was born on Thursday, June 15, 1933 in West Virginia.
Joseph was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
He was a United States Veteran serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier.
He was devoted to all animals.
He loved classical music and history.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bertha Jean (Yurick) Hawkins; a son, Kurt Hawkins; sisters, Bertha Costello and Donna Prah; and a brother, Percy Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved son, Terence Scot Hawkins of Connecticut.
Funeral arrangements are private with interment to be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pennsylvania
