Homeless woman allegedly spits at officers, cries ‘rape’ during arrest
A homeless woman is facing charges after she allegedly screamed “rape” when police were arresting her.
Rebecca Lint, 38, is facing aggravated harassment and other charges for the alleged incident Thursday, according to court documents.
According to the criminal complaint, Connellsville police officers responded to 122 Witter Ave. for reports of a woman allegedly screaming at people and throwing rocks at a car.
Police found Lint three blocks away, where they said she was “acting wildly” and “making little sense.” They said when they arrived, she began screaming that police are murderers and rapists.
Captain Steven Shaffer said when he was placing handcuffs on her, she screamed “rape” loudly.
He wrote in the complaint, “She made several threats towards my life, she would find me etc.”
The officer said she attempted to spit on officers twice at the police station.
Police said she was carrying two suspected crack pipes, a spoon with white residue in it, a small amount of a white substance and suspected marijuana in her purse.
Lint is charged with aggravated assault by a prisoner, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, according to court documents.
She is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
