Police: Computerized voice made Laurel Highlands bomb threat

By The 1 min read

State police said the voice that dictated a bomb threat at Laurel Highlands Middle School Tuesday morning was computerized, muffled and male.

Students were evacuated after the call came in at 9:48 a.m. Parents were notified and children were sent home as police cleared the South Union Township building.

State police K-9 Trooper Michael Udovich searched the school with a bomb dog. Police searched students and unusual packages before deeming the school safe.

Police are attempting to trace the phone call. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at (724) 439-7111. Police said all callers will remain anonymous.
