Betty Louise (Guthrie) Isler
Betty Louise (Guthrie) Isler, age 72, Fairchance, Pa., died on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
She was born on Saturday, February 20, 1943 in Uniontown, Pa. the daughter of Charles ‘Bud’ Guthrie and Clare Louise (Dillow) Guthrie.
She was a former member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
She was a Life Member of the Amend Gun Club, Uniontown Women’s Moose Lodge, the Alfred L. Wilson Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7219 and the American Legion Post 278.
Her parents; grand parents, Clare Dillow and Russ and Angel Guthrie; and sister, Sheila Knisley preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving fiance’, Barry Blosser; three children: Christine Straitiff, Karen K. Isler and Ron Isler Jr. and his wife Pam all of Uniontown, Pa.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings: Patty Mayhew and her husband Tom of Canton, Ohio, Charles Guthrie and his wife Marilyn of Kearneysville, West Virginia, Geraldine Cartwright of Fairchance Pa., Phyllis Carr of Lake Lynn, Pa., Joyce Campbell and husband James of Uniontown, Pa., Mark Guthrie of New Geneva, Pa., Audrey Van Bremen and her husband Roger of Uniontown, Pa Lydia Ware and her boyfriend Rich Troutman of Lake Lynn, Pa., Keith Guthrie and his wife Shonda of Smithfield, Pa. and James Guthrie of New Geneva, Pa.; many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service with her brother, Mr. Keith Guthrie officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Route 119 South, Smithfield, Pa.
A Special Thank You is extended to Fairchance Firemen’s Ambulance, Amedisys Health Care of Uniontown, the Uniontown Hospital, the WVU Cancer Center and the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for all of the quality care given to our beloved Betty.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
