Arrest made in December Brownsville shooting

By The 2 min read

A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting outside a Brownsville bar in December.

Police allege Brandon Allen Dade, 34, of Hiller shot Quintin Biddings Sr. following an argument Dec. 20.

Biddings was treated at the scene, then flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Four surgeries have been completed to treat his injuries since then, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Police said Dade was arguing with Diona Wright inside DVE Sports Bar & Grill and threatened to hit her. The two were asked to leave, the complaint said.

The argument escalated in the parking lot where several people, including Biddings, attempted to calm Dade, police said. They said Biddings and Dade pushed each other, and Biddings fell to the ground.

When Biddings stood up, police allege, Dade pulled out a handgun. He allegedly fired several times into the ground and air. Then he allegedly pointed it at Biddings, shooting him on the left side of his torso.

Police said Dade fled the scene in his truck.

He is charged with attempted homicide, terroristic threats, firearms not to be carried without a license, simple assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault.

He is lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.
