Mary Lenhart
Mary Lenhart, 84, of North Charleroi, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at UPMC Montifore Hospital.
Born Nov. 8, 1931, in Library, a daughter of Ellsworth and Julia Novak Waggoner, she was Catholic by faith. Mary enjoyed playing bingo at New Eagle Social Hall. She also loved playing board games, cards, and swinging on her front porch in the company of her daughters and granddaughters every Wednesday. She was the supervisor for all the baking of family Christmas cookies and her ladylocks were loved by all. Mary was the most giving person, offering her home over the years to those in a bind and being there for everyone through their tough times.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Lenhart. Also, preceding her death was a sister, Mabel Prinkey; a brother, Walter Waggoner; and her son, Michael Lenhart. Mary is survived by seven children, William (Andrea) Lenhart, Charles (Rose) Lenhart, Carol (Terry) Schaum, Alan Lenhart who resided with Mary, Darryl (Laurie) Lenhart, Darlene Lenhart (the late Richard Smith), and Denise (Alfred) Lenzi; 12 grandchildren, Billy Lenhart, Keith (Tanya) Lenhart, Richard (Pam) Koch, Chas Tomovchik, Billie Jo (Mike) Lenhart, Sherry Story, Brandon and Leanne Lenhart, Riki and Gabrielle Smith, Krisi (Justin) Lenhart, and Adam Lenzi; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a brother, Gene (Darlene) Waggoner; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of those closest to her heart.
A blessing will be held at the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, at 10:30a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 with the Rev. William Terza officiating. Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery.
