Gladys E. (Marshall) Baker, age 99, former resident of Hopwood, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Hope Hospice Cape Coral, Florida.
She was born on Monday, November 6, 1916 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania daughter of Jack S. Marshall and Bessie Marvin Marshall.
Gladys was a member of the Brownfield United Methodist Church.
She loved gardening, cooking, playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralston A. Baker Sr.; her parents; brothers Charles Marshall, Fred Marshall, Harry Marshall, and Sparky Marshall; sisters, Laura Mae Marshall, Elsie M. Marshall and Ann Gregor.
Left to cherish Gladys’ memory are her sons: Ralston A. ‘Bud’ Baker and his wife Marlene of Uniontown, Pa., and Clarence L. Baker Baker and his wife Carolyn of Cape Coral, Florida; daughters: Shirley A. Baker Pikula of McClellandtown Pa., and Judith I. Mace and her husband James of Cogan’s Station, Pa.; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grand children; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Arrangements has been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania where the family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at BROWNFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1429 Brownfield Road, Big Brownfield, Pa 15416 from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a Service Celebrating Gladys’ Life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Diane Olson officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial, Hopwood, Pa.
