SUV catches fire in Henry Clay Twp.

A driver escaped her vehicle uninjured when it caught fire on the National Pike in Henry Clay Township Tuesday morning.

Police said driver Brandy Umbel, 29, of Markleysburg was traveling south on Route 40 when her 2005 Nissan Xterra began smoking and then caught fire at about 8 a.m. near Laurel Road.

Markleysburg and Addison fire departments assisted state police on the scene.
