Geraldine “Gerri” (Hillen) Mahan
Geraldine (Hillen) ‘Gerri’ Mahan, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at home in Masontown, Pa., with her loving family at her side.
She was born on Tuesday, March 12, 1935 in Woodside, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Edward Hillen and Iola (Hutzel) Hillen.
She graduated from Masontown High School, Class of 1953.
She was a member of the Masontown United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harvey C. Mahan; sister, Mary Jane Olson; and brothers, George Hillen and Donald Hillen.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Shawn A. Mahan and his wife Terri of Masontown; grandchildren: Kelsey Samek and her husband Ryan and Jacob Mahan; sisters Ann Kirchner and her husband George of Perryopolis, Pa., Aileen Marvec and her husband Joseph of Virginia.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Ave., Masontown, Pa., on Friday, March 11, from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 12, 2016 until 10:00 a.m., the hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor H. David McElroy officiating.
Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
