Warren C. “Daddy” Morris Sr.
Warren C. Morris Sr., affectionately known as ‘Daddy’, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the age of 85.
He was born on
Wednesday, February 18, 1931, Morris Crossroads, Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pa.
Warren married Patricia A. Blair, the love of his life and best friend, on Tuesday, July 26, 1949. They celebrated 66 years of wedded bliss.
Warren was a retired Truck Driver who drove for Solomon & Teslovich, Marsolino, and also Lane Trucking. His favorite time driving was with his son Junior when they teamed up and drove cross country.
One of dad’s favorite pastimes was sitting on his front porch swing with mom by his side holding hands.
Daddy will be greatly missed and loved forever
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Morris and Ruth (Umbel) Morris; daughter Darla Joy Dedo grandson, Adam George Morris; son-in-law James Balbach; brother, Rev. William Morris; sister, Juanita Morris Brumley.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children: Larry (Cindy) Morris, Warren Jr. (Sharon) Morris, Audrey Balbach, James Morris, Donald (Ada) Morris, Liz (Barry) Brown, Sue Schroyer, Paula (Paul) Guthrie, George (Cheryle) Morris; 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, two great greatgrandchildren three brothers: Donald Morris, Dwayne Morris and Jerry Morris; two sisters: Jean Taylor and Delores Morris; brother-in-law, Larry Blair.
Family and Friends will be received in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 16 2017 in MASONTOWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 120 South Main Street, from Noon until 1 p.m., the hour of Service. Pastor Charles Emil Prevot will officiate
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery McClellandtown, Pa.
