Eleanor (Pallow) Mullen
Eleanor (Pallow) Mullen, age 82, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born on Wednesday, June 21, 1933 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the now late Nicholas Pallow and Stella (Hillen) Pallow.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Mullen; and her loving sisters, Evelyn Brown, Esther McFadden, and Dolores Wyncinsky.
Eleanor was a Home Economics teacher at the former Fairchance-Georges High School for many years.
She graduated from the former Fairchance High School as Valedictorian of the Class of 1951.
She was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College in Indiana, Pa.
She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
She loved to sew, cook, doing yard work, and gardening.
Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Preamble of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Katie Preamble and Jimmy Preamble; her sister, Shirley Ondrejko and her husband Tom of Washington, Pa.; a special caretaker, Mary Leadbeater; loving nieces, nephews; other relatives; many friends.
Friends will be received in KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, March 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday morning until 10:00 when Parting Prayers will be said.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa
