By The 1 min read

A Connellsville man was arrested after he allegedly called 911 and hung up, then threatened police who responded.

George Mitchell, 31, of Connellsville was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count each of resisting arrest and terroristic threats for the alleged incident Monday.

Police said Mitchell hung up on a 911 dispatcher without giving any information while he was walking near North 7th Street in Connellsville. The call was reported to be intentional.

Police responded to check his welfare, and he allegedly became aggressive, shouted profanities, threatened to murder and assault the officers and tried to spit on them.

He was arrested and arraigned on a $5,000 bond. He was unable to post bail, according to court documents.
