James B. “Flash” Gordon Sr.

James B. ‘Flash’ Gordon Sr., age 79, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2016.

‘Flash’ was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War (1954 to 1957).

He worked as an Electrician at Latrobe Steel, Volkswagen of America New Stanton plant, and Ford Motor Company.

Flash loved boating and living life to the fullest with his friends and family on the Monongahela River.

He will be greatly missed!

James was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond H. and Betty Irene (Burton) Gordon.

He was the beloved former husband of Sandra W. Gordon; the loving father of James (the late Allison) Gordon Jr., Leslie (Jared) Ciferno and Matthew (Sheila) Gordon; proud grandfather of Zachary Gordon, Sarah Ciferno, Nathaniel Gordon, Marco Ciferno, Samuel Gordon and Daniel Gordon; and the brother of Raymond (the late Grace) Gordon, Nancy (Bill) Fox, Robert Gordon, Susan (the late Charles) Dill. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the WEST BROWNSVILLE AMERICAN LEGION POST 940, 800 Middle Street, West Brownsville, PA 15417 on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.

Cemetery Services will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville PA 15017 on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.

The family asks that, in lieu of other tokens of sympathy, any donations be made to the West Brownsville American Legion at the address listed above.
