One shot in Masontown fight
A Masontown man is being held at the Fayette County Prison on charges including attempted homicide following a shooting early Friday on Main Street in Masontown.
According to Masontown Police Chief Joe Ryan, Donavin Moore, 23, got into an argument with another person inside Aunt Jean’s Bar on Main Street just before 3 a.m. Friday.
“It ended up spilling out onto the street, with one person shot,” Ryan said.
The victim, who was not identified by Ryan, was shot three or four times. Ryan said the victim underwent surgery at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh Friday and was listed in stable condition. According to Ryan, nine shots were fired during the altercation.
Moore was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic and jailed in lieu of $400,000 straight cash bond.
Moore faces charges of criminal attempt to commit homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and firearms not to be carried without a license.
