Donald W. Kromer
Donald W. Kromer, age 77, of Penncraft, Pa., passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at home.
He was born on Sunday, March 19, 1939 in Brier Hill, Pa., a son of Joseph Kromer and Mary Ann (Vargo) Kromer.
Donald was a member of the former Holy Rosary Church, Republic now Saint Francis of Assisi Parish.
He was retired from United States Steel’s Filbert Shop and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Kromer and Leonard Kromer.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Linda (Dugan) Kromer; sons: Duane Kromer and wife Carrie and Thomas Kromer and wife Jodi and daughter, JoAnn Thomas and husband Gary all of Penncraft, Pa. grandchildren: Julie and Steven, Joseph and Erica Jeffrey, Zachary and Jayelynn, Zoey and Cody; great grandson, Joseph Michael; and sisters-in-law: Frances Kromer of Penncraft, Pa., and Marilyn Dugan of McClellandtown, Pa.
The family will receive friends in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., One Legion Street, Republic, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 29, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Footedale, Pa., with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Lafayette Memorial Park Brier Hill, Pa.
