Susan Bridget Novosel of Alexandria, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.

Susan was the daughter of Peter Novosel and the now late Patricia Novosel.

She is survived by her father Peter of Uniontown, Pennsylvania sister, Pamela Webb (David); brother, Matthew Novosel (Angie) and was a doting aunt “Teta” to her niece, Veronica Webb, and nephews, Spencer Novosel and Jack Webb.

Born in Michigan, Susan attended Michigan State University and the Detroit Mercy School of Nursing before moving to D.C. to commence her career in the medical field.

She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in fertility and urology, and was a pharmaceutical representative.

However, the highlight of her career was working at the prestigious Columbia Hospital for Women, Georgetown as an RN in the NICU, caring for babies and their parents. She served with extraordinary compassion and professionalism. Susan was selected by the hospital president to provide a tour of the NICU unit to then first lady Hilary Clinton when she visited the hospital. Susan received an official White House photograph taken with Mrs. Clinton, framed and signed.

Susan traveled the world extensively.

A member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, her most treasured memory was accompanying her father to Croatia, experiencing the culture and visiting relatives. This trip will always be recognized as her favorite adventure and had a profound impact on her life.

Susan was a glamorous woman known for her fashion sense, sophistication, and especially for throwing lavish parties. Her taste was impeccable! She will be remembered for being a fabulous, cultured individual.

The Cousins’ Christmas Parties will never be the same.

Susan will be missed by her many friends and family members.

She was the God Daughter of Jim and Marion Mochnsky and was especially fond of her Aunt Theresa.

Coming from an exceptionally close family, she remained the best of friends with her Uniontown cousins.

Susan will finally be reunited with her Mother, Patricia, whom she has missed terribly.

Friends will be received in KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, Monday, March 28, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m and on Tuesday morning until 9:15 a.m. when Parting Prayers will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania

Interment will follow in the Mount Macrina Cemetery.

We would like Susan to be remembered as a woman born to nursing. The Tender nurturer. The generous one. This was the true gift and essence of her life, above all.
